Dear Mr. Muenks,

Just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with the recent addition to our home.
Our contractor recommended having you do the insulation for the 14 X 18 foot sunroom that we were adding onto our home. He said that the homes that they have built, using the Optima Blow-In-Blanket insulation, stay warm with practically no heating cost.  So, we took his recommendation and couldn’t be happier with the results.
You may remember, but we removed an 8’ atrium door, took off the old deck and added the 14’ X 18’ sunroom, along with an attached deck.  The old deck was 10’ above the patio below, so the sunroom is exposed from the floor, to the walls, to the ceiling. Only the south wall is attached to our house, so the east, west and north sides are exposed to the outdoors.  We have cathedral ceilings in the room and windows on all three sides.  The end results are absolutely beautiful, so I will send you a picture of the finished room.
I have to say, I was concerned about heating and cooling this big room sticking out into the open air.  The kitchen had always been cool next to the atrium doors and we were not going to be able to easily extend our current heating and cooling into the new room, with the open patio below.  We decided a wall heating/air conditioning unit in the sunroom would be the best solution, so that was installed by the contractor.
Well, we have now been using our new room since last March.  I am amazed! The room has never been hot or cold!  The hardwood floors were not even cold this winter.  We turned the air conditioner on once or twice last summer just to make sure it worked (even though the room was comfortable with out it) and have turned the heater unit on once, again just to see if it worked! I have been amazed that the temperature in the room is always comfortable without any heating/cooling needed.  Wish we had skipped putting the heater/ac unit in, as we don’t need it!  And the kitchen is warmer now (with the sunroom off of it) than it was with the atrium doors.  Also, our electrical bill has not increased even with adding over 250 square feet to our home.

I'd like to thank you for the great job done on insulating our new home on Golden Eye Court. As most people, my wife and I are concerned with the cost of energy and the impact that it will have on our budget once we move into this larger home. 

With most builders and sub contractors it is a struggle for them to think outside of the box and see the benefits of employing newer and better building practices. I half-way expected to have to insist on the higher R-Values and the foam sealing of the doors and windows. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that was just another part of the services you provide as you went about completing the job. I was also glad to hear and see that you take pride in the installations you do by going beyond the minimum standards. I know this will serve to make our home a better place to live.

Since you completed the work on our home, I have noticed that the inside temperature has remained fairly consistent even with the large temperature variations we have experienced this spring. Several of the other subcontractors and my builder have also commented on the quality of the work. As a designer, I would have no problem recommending your company and the systems you install.
